This is open to anybody. So link (heh) your friends and family, post it on Facebook and Instagram and any other forum you can. Basically this is a dungeon design competition.

Design a dungeon, complete with puzzles, and your dungeon could be featured in possibly the biggest ROM hack TO DATE. The prizes are simple, 1st place winner's dungeon will be featured in my ROM hack, 2nd and 3rd place dungeons will be considered for use. This dungeon will be featured in the first patch. Here's how to enter:

Draw a top down map (or make a 3d model) of your dungeon.
There must be a legend, showing what symbols are doors, enemies, pots, chests etc.
You must explain the puzzles and how to complete them (put their solution in a spoiler)
Floors must be on seperate drawings, over the top of each other (the floors must match up)

There is NO LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES YOU CAN MAKE.

Thats all. Hopefully i can get some great entries! I know you guys have lots of ideas! So here's your chance to showcase them and possibly have your name permanently etched into ROM hacking history!
Bumping since theres no entries. The first patch is getting close to release, so i need to change the rules a bit.

No, no.. its not like that at all CubanR. The truth is, I've been kinda itching to make a tutorial. Mainly bc I want to see other people advance in Zelda mapping, and I was thinking this competition would be the best way to see just how far people could advance if they followed my tutorial. I kinda think of it as you guys giving me feedback on how useful my tutorial will be. (if that makes any since) Which I will be making today and probably posting tomorrow. So no worry's man.

I'm sure to follow it. :) Although I'm good at 3D Modeling, I never could do a lot in both Zelda 64 games. -_- I hope the competition's going well for everyone :D (P.S. probably a bit too perky, huh?).

Ok so 2d drawings are ok, as long as a side view is drawn or the ceiling height is noted, so i dont have too high/short ceilings.

Is it OK to have the model now and add puzzle elements later?

As long as there are puzzles in the dungeon, then yes

Are their limitations of "areas" to the dungeon. If this makes sense.
Like my dungeon idea is not in like some cave, temple and what not.
Mine is like in a rural area out in the open.
I don't want to spoil this to much.
In short the dungeon is like in a town like area
I just want to know if this is aloud.

Quick question before I do anything else: can the dungeon require Link to revisit the dungeon after he gets a certain item?

Aka zazxazza
kinda off topic but does water stop link's fall damage?
Also do I have to have the finished dungon with Detail textures etc, or a concept map of the layout, etc
