This is open to anybody. So link (heh) your friends and family, post it on Facebook and Instagram and any other forum you can. Basically this is a dungeon design competition.

Design a dungeon, complete with puzzles, and your dungeon could be featured in possibly the biggest ROM hack TO DATE. The prizes are simple, 1st place winner's dungeon will be featured in my ROM hack, 2nd and 3rd place dungeons will be considered for use. This dungeon will be featured in the first patch. Here's how to enter:

Draw a top down map (or make a 3d model) of your dungeon.
There must be a legend, showing what symbols are doors, enemies, pots, chests etc.
You must explain the puzzles and how to complete them (put their solution in a spoiler)
Floors must be on seperate drawings, over the top of each other (the floors must match up)

There is NO LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES YOU CAN MAKE.

Thats all. Hopefully i can get some great entries! I know you guys have lots of ideas! So here's your chance to showcase them and possibly have your name permanently etched into ROM hacking history!
Bumping since theres no entries. The first patch is getting close to release, so i need to change the rules a bit.

@aeroblast all designs are allowed

@Merrickal900 the dugeon is allowed to be revisited later

@mooliecool concept sketches are the bare minimum, but yes they are ok
I made a 3D model but does it have to have full detail or be a concept?

@mooliecool it must have all the details necessary for the final dungeon, textures not necessary (except to show thhings like water/lava/etc)

Hey Sylux my entry's model is just about done. I'm working on putting the video together right now and it will be uploaded in a bit. The preview and the whole dungeon is on one main floor.
Its preety expansive, though the dungeon may take as long as Dadongos Cavern as a new dungeon.
Can't wait to upload it ;)
I'm good with all actors except with one thing.......Doors XD is there a tutorial somewhere I can look at that you know of and I know I'll have the dungeon done.
Please and Thank You :)
Here is a preview for my dungeon entry ;D. Hope you like it Sylux!

By the way people "City Trials" is a work in title name and is not to be confused with the mode in Kirby Airide.
This is also just a preview so a couple things may look screwed up but Im working on it. This is just to show the "Hub" of the Dungeon.
The dungeon isnt like a Evil, creep, interdimenstional cave temple of some sort. It takes place in the outskirts of a city.
The objective of the dungeon is that link must prove his worth of being a hero, so he has to talk to the group's Boss that is challenging him. You will also be getting tips from NPC's to help you solve puzzles.
So he needs to find the boss's key(Heh, Get it Boss Key, heh its a pun)
The Dungeon's model is almost completed but barely coded. It wont be the longest dungeon ever but its not a mini dungeon ether.
This is still a work in progress

Ok, so I've finished about 10% of the dungeon. Just giving a preview ^_^ : Posted Image
P.S.: this is the visual mesh of the dungeon (that's why it doesn't have walls). I'm working on close details later. Still a WIP.
Also, I can edit the dungeon's puzzles to fit the item order if necessary.

Try using fewer polygons if you are able to. I suggest using shapes like octagons and decagons for round areas instead of using the curved line tool and the circle tool.

I think I could enter this (since I'm sitting on two complete models of dungeons I couldn't use), but I have a few questions. Mainly about items. Can we plan a dungeon item, or is there a list of items Link would already have at his disposal? Should this be a young Link, or Adult Link dungeon?

EDIT:

Here is what I started working on. It is the Eastern Palace from AlttP for those of you that aren't as obsessed as I am :p. There will be some changes made to accommodate the OoT engine (Such as, big key's can't open the big item chest, so that will be remedied by having fire around it, which is lowered by a switch in the big key room, to give an example). This is based off of an old attempt I did a few years back, but I am essentially rebuilding every room from scratch to make it more OoT friendly. In the original I did the rooms were way off in scale, and closer to the scale of AlttP. Also, the stairs were way too steep, and the rooms were cramped in an actual playing environment. This version fixes that in expanding the design.

I will add the scale door guides as a separate group. Note that as it is, none of the rooms are grouped, but they are still their own model (i.e. not connected to one another), so a triple-click can group them easily for you if you bring them in. I will add a few decorative objects as well, which will be their own group, so that they can be moved/ removed as needed. I will make a detailed image with guides to types of doors, and possible enemies in the rooms, but of course you can take some creative liberties here to make it fit in (same goes for the item, which is the Bow in AlttP, but can be whatever here, since the dungeon doesn't really call for any items). I'm excited to be entering, and will hopefully have this model finished today (I work pretty quick ;))

EDIT 2:
This is the image I'm basing my models off of.

EDIT 3:
I am also going to "texture" this, but it will be pretty basic. It is more or less to show the color scheme. The textures will be functional, yet minimal, since texturing is not really my strong suit (but I have a working knowledge).
