Certain emulators actually don't load the debug due to the file size being too big, is there a way to compress it? Thanks. |

Make sure your Waluigi's yaz0 file is not larger than the original Link's yaz0 file. |

ah, the Waluigi .yaz0 is 112kb while the original Link one is 105kb, how can I lower Waluigi's file size then? |

You can delete the display lists that you're not using by writing the offset of the Display List you're not using, then clicking in the right arrow at the Display List bar in HT, write that offset. Then open your Waluigi.zobj file in HxD, right click>Select Block>write the offset of your display list in the first text box and then the offset of the next display list in the second one. Finally, delete the selected bytes and save. But...MAKE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP FIRST!!! |

Hmm... If that method doesn't work, try simply writing a df command where the display list you want to delete starts and then null all the space until the original end(DF command) by 00-padding. Otherways, depending on which display list you're removing, it will mess up the offsets of other display lists you may still want, since you would delete data from the file. Then the game will try to read those display lists from their old start offsets, and probably crash due to that. |

Do you mean do the select block > fill selection (with zeros) > then change the first 00 of the block into DF? |

Usually at the start of a display list, there is a E7 command (E7 00 00 00 00 00 00 00), however it can start with many different commands. The start offset of a display list is the six-digit offset you can see in the display list bar in HT when viewing one. Go to the offset of the display list you want to delete in HxD and write a DF command(simply DF 00 00 00 00 00 00 00) at the offset you arrive, which may be an E7 command. After writing that, you can find the original DF command(the original end) of the display list, by simply hitting CTRL+F and search for DF 00 00 00 00 00 00 00. You'll want to fill the space between these two DF commands with 00-bytes, and yes it can be done faster with the "select block" and "fill block" features.
