Hey guys! I don't have any modding experience but I am a 3D artist and huge Zelda fan with some questions.

I'm interested in importing detailed models into a rom or pc adaptation of OOT (if it exists).
I've read about the process of replacing models and textures in roms but would like to go higher res.
I imagine there would be a fairly low poly/tri cap on models and have seen that there is a 128px cap on textures for N64.

Is there any way to get around these hurdles and replace an OOT model and texture with a higher res one without serious rebuilding or re-coding of the game? Or any versions of OOT where this is possible?

@GANONdork123 - Thanks! Good to know! I've decided to abandon having rigs or animation for now though. At the moment I am trying to find the best way to rip maps and models with textures to bring into Maya or 3Ds Max with the least amount of issues. Any links to tutorials or suggestions would be awesome.

Also if there are more models already ripped somewhere, like at models-resource, that would be even better.
