DESCRIPTION
I've decided to retexture Twilight Princess GC! I wanted to keep the original textures, but convert them into HD format as much as possible, and also add a little Skyward Sword style. Twilight Princess was suppose to aim towards a dark look+feel, but failed miserably by the power of blurry/ugly textures. The game also lacks lighting effects and shadow effects, so I'm working on getting shader addons(ReShade, SweetFX, etc.) to become compatible with the game. I'm aiming to get SSAO or HBAO, and DoF to work properly. I've seen some people that had success with some effects, but no tutorial. I NEED SOME HELP WITH APPLYING THOSE EFFECTS! I really want to get Twilight Princess polished as much as possible. The textures, that I've done, are looking beautiful, but the lackluster of HBAO, SSAO, and DoF is killing the feel. I know it's possible to get the effects working because I have successfully implemented HBAO and DoF on the Project64 ROMS(Majora's Mask, OoT, and Conker.) So yeah...

I will like to release the download of the ALPHA texture pack! Below is the download link. GO CRAZY! The changes to link have not been uploaded, yet. I'll be uploading them, as soon as possible. It will be considered a patch :)

NOTE
You can customize the settings to your liking. If the game slows down, using SSAO, try turning down the "SSAO Quality" slider or perhaps the "Sample Range" slider. If you are still experiencing an FPS drop, try disabling Anti-Aliasing by setting it to "None" or try using a lower "Internal Resolution." If none of that helps, then you can just use DoF by selecting "DOF" in the "Post-Processing Effect" drop-down menu.

I also want to let everybody know that 90% of the textures, including Link and Epona, and all characters, are completely redrawn by me, digitally. I DID NOT USE ANY GOOGLE IMAGES! I Enlarge the texture with Alien Blow-up, and then trace it. If I am not satisfied with certain Twilight Princess textures, I remake them, completely(making them different, my style.)

I'll make a version of that real quick to compare. Hang on a sec

EDIT: on second thought I'm pretty tired. Let me catch some shut eye and I'll get that right out in the morning

Here's some before and after shots of the shaders (color shaders only). Before on the left, after on the right.

Nice blonde change, Sylux, and the coloring is looking amazing! The color work reminds me of Kokiri Forest, in Ocarina of Time :)

I will also like to let everyone know that I am uploading an update. It won't take long :)

Should I add other effects such as lens flares/ sunshafts/ etc? As far as I know, ssao and certain flares basically rely on depth buffer access, which only works in a few dolphin games

Well, Sylux, it seems that one person somehow achieved SSAO on a game that does not provide Depth Buffer Access, and that game is Wind Waker :)

http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/117769

I have NO FREAKING idea how he achieved it, and I think I'll end up contacting him to help us out with TP. Look how much of a difference a simple effect can add to a game. You hover the image to see the effect, BTW :)
Oh, I also uploaded the patch and linked it in the post :)

Patch notes are given within the download.

Let me give it a try. Also, should I add those effects or not

Gave it a quick go, depth buffer shows no change in dolphin.

If the screen is completely White = Depth Buffer is empty. If the screen is completely Black = No Depth Buffer access at all.
It won't even show black/white. Stays the same.

Something is telling me that that photo is doctored. Unless WW secretly does give depth access. As of right now,

Those effects are amazing. I would love to see TP with them.

Sylux, the SSAO effect in Wind Waker was achieved by one of the programmers of ReShade. His name starts with a "B."
Also, someone achieved SSAO with TP by using a program called "GeDoSaTo." Here's a screenshot of it.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND, one of the Dolphin developers stated the following quote...

"We can expose depth information to the PP shaders fairly easily in order to use SSAO.
I just have been busy with things that are more important to me."

You can read that state on this forum thread: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-does-nvidia-driver-effect-dolphin-s-graphics?page=4

So really people are just greedy and can't bare to release anything and would rather keep it to themselves, coming up with excuses as to why. Yep, all is normal in the computer world.

Also, GeDoSaTo is older than ReShade, no? And I'm pretty sure they're incompatible, but I may be wrong on that.

Yeah, it's ridiculous, and I'm not sure if GeDoSaTo is older than ReShade.

Uhh...
I like your pack, I'm not sure if it would work, but perhaps you could over-saturate your textures to fight the weird contrast thing that the TP engine does.
Can we customize which skins overwrite which tunics/armour?
I would totally buy the Magic Armour just to be able to be Fierce Deity Link.
(They really should have made the suit have permanent effects after all the rupees you spend on it.)

Edit:
WHOOPS.
I didn't realize that there were 5 pages. :$
Anyway, I love that shader work, it improves the quality A LOT.
COLORS MORE COLORSS

Sorry one more edit:
I'm guessing that the shadow is not any kind of texture.
Is there a way to break this and show it at a higher resolution than the GC or Wii could originally?
Like it does for Project 64.
Futhermore, can this be played on a PC?
It would be cool to play this with a N64 type hud and use an N64 controller.
That would actually be a lot more fun, IMO.
