Warhan

Hello everyone! I'm Warhan, and i'm extremely new to programming and modding. I love the zelda games, and have the N64 roms on my computer. I really want to learn how to modify OoT, with events and the like, but have no idea where to start. I know you guys have probably heard it a million times before, but what should i do to get started learning (What programs should i download, what language should i learn, are there any noobie tutorials that'll take me step by step to get me comfortable with modding)?
