[ZeldaOOT] Zey Demo 1 [Release]

Hello everyone,

Here I will announce the public release of the ZEY demo patch.

However, currently I have a few members testing the demo before public release, just to ensure everything is balanced, and in proper working order for some preliminary feedback and discussions.

I will likely not be releasing the demo until after halloween since a member is planning to possibly stream the demo on Halloween day.

I will (hopefully) have time to make an announcement to my viewers for the public release, but it won't be until th day before Halloween. Depends on if I have quiet time to record myself or not.

I hope everyone is being patient, bugs and issues are being ironed out of the demo a bit before a proper release.

I understand the other patch was buggy, but it was never supposed to be released on the forums. It was released without permission, but that is the end of that. There shouldn't be any concerns now.

Feel free to discuss the demo while we wait, I imagine some allies I have testing the demo atm will gladly share some videos if possible.

Seems a little harsh that dying at the start means you can't get the sword without starting over (unless I missed something?).

I saw several switch flag conflicts going through the Deku Tree - the top floor had a room with a knuckle in it but after doing some things and returning it was gone, and one or more switches in the basement boulder room were already pressed when I got there. I can't really be more specific without looking at it in an editor to determine which actors caused this. Also, in the room with the death floor you can get trapped by walking down to the left but it's possible, while difficult, to get out by jumpslashing in such a way that you void.

Stopped playing when my game crashed in the boss battle, I don't know if you can reproduce it:

In general I think maybe there were too many enemies. The iron knuckles were very hard to beat. Losing the shield is quite costly, though it's possible to get another one I guess.

I really like the health display and the fairy. The sounds made me giggle. It seems good enough so far, though the difficulty is high for me because of the enemies.

Ghoma crashing in certain emulators is known.
If you're using PJ64, use the recommended settings in the info, otherwise switch to Nemu.
Psi and Gaby got theirs working, but they had to play with PJ64's settings.

It is not a fault of my mod, it is a flaw of PJ64, because Ghoma was tested on console without any errors.

For the Iron Knuckles... technically those are not mandatory, they're only in there for fun, and as death traps.
I can look into Iron Knuckle switch issues though, so thanks for the heads up.

I'm not too concerned about switch issues in the demo though.
