Afuckingmen, guys, seriously, this apply's to me as well, we need to get our shit together before this community completely crumbles. Everyone has to be on the same page, I cant be the only one who wants more awesome mods like third quest, that can happen, but we HAVE to change.

There certainly is a whip-cracking here now....

the truth hurts. = /

In all fairness, I'd advise against making any announcements to mods unless you have content ready.
Not because you shouldn't announce something you feel you really want to do...
but to avoid future....internet-fire?

I think there's difficulty on both sides...
with the younger newer generation facing expectations from a more experienced generation...
(I'm not that experienced, but I'm old enough to quietly observe... not too quietly I hope...= P )

Personally, I try not to comment on threads like these because I have enough capacity to understand both sides and it's very conflicting for me to "advocate" one side too much over another...Don't misconstrue that with that I know everything because I obviously I don't, nor do I feel I fit in either end of the spectrum of new and or very experienced : /

.... sucks.

I think what everyone is trying to say is you need more explanation for your mod's concepts, plot, and other features.

You're looking for a LOT of team members, but without any explanation of what this mod is, or is supposed to be.
If you don't have pictures, you can Google some images to represent what type of look and feel you want to go for.

Here's the problem:

Alright guys, I am making a NEW mod that will replace Eternal War, I wont say to much info until more things are added.

We Need Team Members!!!

You kind of just popped the topic of team members without any information or plot or anything to explain WHY you need team members so badly, and more team members than this community has to offer...

You want FOUR ASM hackers/modders... cough... well, I'm one ASM hacker, and there's only a few of us that can ASM hack.
You'll be lucky to find 1 that isn't occupied with something already.

The mod can't and WON'T be a huge secret, so holding information is not saving you any time or issues.
If you want a mod to be a secret project... sorry, you'll have to mod alone.
Nobody likes a mod project with secrets when you have a huge team working on it.

It will be a disaster, like a modding project that-shalt-not-be-named.

You know I have been working on it, I showed you some stuff that is still in development
While this is true, you had one flat map with nothing in it. That's not really much to show off. Sorry.

I really don't think you get it at all, this is not going to work unless you're able to show something.

The message they're attempting to convey is that you need not make topic requesting outside help from your fellow community members when you don't have the content to create a "wow factor." They're not looking for if you 'literally' have ANY content. You should have a few levels put together (that some will find intriguing), a story line panned out, so on and so forth. It's a sure fire bet that you won't even complete ten percent of this due to all the past times individuals with your skill set here have seen topics like such. They never come through, and regardless, your best bet is to compile a small team and do most of the work yourself. People also will not feel inclined to aid in the project when you've shown that you can't do hardly any work. If you learn, post what you can do, then I'm sure at least some may develop an interest in helping out.

I don't know what else should be said. I thought they got the point across well.

Edit: They're not trying to make you look/feel bad or poke fun. They're just being rational about the situation; based on past events, there are definitely stereotypes in hacking and modding communities even outside the Zelda 64 ones.

I'm doing everything I can to make this better (and to stop people from thinking that a 10 year old modder can't make a map.) So, me being 10 years old is probably a good reason I need members, and also because i'm only good at mapping.
