I believe I can release a mini mod demo now, HOWEVER... there's one over arching problem...and a couple under-arching sub problems. ANY HELP in solving these issues is welcome. Also, How do I start as an adult??? Minor sub problem: Navi flying cutscene: the game still wants to play the scene but cannot: causing black screen lock up, as the game cannot play the scene. Remedy would be to turn that off: I don't know how to turn that off. *work around* Minor sub problem: In an attempt to advert the "Navi flying to link" portion, the entrance data was changed to spawn from "Kokiri into Link's House" exit instead of the original "Spawn from bed" point. >> Link isn't even starting at Link's House! Scene is black. I've averted this by doing the Z+L+(D-pad right) and it brings up Hyrule castle Mote night scene by the lot's o pots door as a child. Link proceeds to die via falling out of bounds. MAJOR PROBLEM: After the out of bounds scenario occurs, the scene proceeds to appear in the intended destination--Link's House. However, Link is spawning quite a ways from the one and only spawn point assigned. I don't know if this means he is spawning from the bed point, OR if the custom map is not aligning to the location of the Link's house map originally in game. Needless to say, Link is spawning in the sky away from the map. Edited by z64offline, Apr 30 2016, 10:36 AM.

I'm confused here about what was wrong with MZX's solution. Skipping the intro all together, to my knowledge, is not a difficult task. I set up a test of that when I was helping Giadrosich with the cancelled sequel to Voyager of Time. Anytime I try to start a new game yes. Scene-wise, I'm sure the game is saying to play XX scene when I need to fine tune it to point to go directly to the start, though I haven't pin-pointed what particular data is doing this? The same goes for the original spawn in game verses primary custom spawn. I think I'm telling the game to go to the original spawn programmed within the original scene already in game which does not need to have a custom spawn. Edited by z64offline, May 2 2016, 01:26 PM.

I would consider checking that your spawn point in the room that you've made to replace Link's house or whatever (please correct me if I'm wrong) is in the right place. It sounds like he's spawning outside of the area because the spawn point you've placed is in the wrong place. |
