So, you know how when you play through the OoT3D Master quest, EVERYTHING (aside from hud and text) is flipped? I'm curious how difficult, and/or time consuming it would be to do this with the OoT Master Quest. Anyone got any ideas?

My idea: Well, if we were to horizontally flip everything, aside from the text and hud, problem solved, right?

In Mario Kart the Mirror mode is just a filter and not a remade version of the courses by memory.

Hmmm... Does anyone know of a way we could flip the Camera horizontally, through gameshark or any other methods?

This will be an interesting mod if someone achieves it but guaranteed it's going to need ASM hacking.

Some C++ hacking?... OpenGL hooks in Project64/Nemu64 and apply some OpenGL filters with a external program?... (?)

Just curious where you would get that assumption. From what I've noticed, it might not. It would only need assembly if we have to resort to flipping the camera horizontally, which may be more difficult than actually flipping the display lists or scenes themselves, as the camera basically has a heart attack whenever you mess with it in the tiniest amounts. I actually tried modifying the camera in RAM yesterday to flip it horizontally, but couldn't find the right byte to modify or invert.

I think I get what you mean. I think what you're saying is we would probably have to code an external program to act as a filter to mirror using OpenGL. There are two problems with this. One, I personally don't use OpenGL unless I have to (aka Mac or Linux), and two, there would be no point to making an external program for this.

Well I was just assuming.
Anyways about camera flip.
MelonSpeedruns.
Have helped Psi-Hate.
With his four Swords Mod.
When it comes to his camera angle looking down words.
maybe you should ask him if he could help you on this he might know how. ; )
If he doesn't I have no idea who else would?

Also something to think about. If you flip the camera's X axis, won't you you have to invert the joystick's X-axis as well? I'm only theorizing though, as when you look into a mirror and move to the left, your reflection moves to its right. So I'm guessing if you flip the world through the camera, you'll need to flip the joystick as well.

Twilight Princess on Wii uses the same code to mirror things as MKDD. Not sure how much that helps but eh.You probably could change the X-axis for the camera but like SuperMarioHacksWii said, you would most likely also flip the joystick X-axis.
