Hey guys, Sho' showcased on youtube his version of the Majoras Mask Link in OOT with changeable tunic colors. I was wondering if anyone here could tell me how he did it? I'd really appreciate it, and thanks in advance!

When you're creating a topic for asking a question don't go in another topic for asking the same question and what I see make me think you're a neophyte, you should start with something easier.

What was the purpose of your reply if you were'nt going to answer the question? I didn't ask if I was a neophyte, and I'm asking questions clearly because I would like to learn, please don't tell me where I should start. Thanks.

Look, I didn't come here for an argument or problems, I just asked a simple question and would like if someone could help me with it.

Trilly2Busy: Simple questions can lead to complex answers.

From what I have heard, Link's model isn't set up in a way that makes changing it's color as simple as it is in OoT, so you'd need to modify a number of display lists manually so that you can easily set the tunic polygons to the same color. Then, you need to write an assembly hack to allow you to programmatically change the color of his tunic however you want. This isn't something as simple as changing a few bytes.

If you're really serious, you should read up on MIPS assembly, and F3DZEX or F3DEX2 (both have the same graphics binary interface)

I made a patch that changes Link's tunic in MM to white. If ypu patch a ROM with this patch and compare it to the original ROM, you should be able to find the offsets.

Estoy seguro que esto serĂ¡ traducido... =P
Changeable Tunic Colors... After a DList porting, open your .zobj in OuT, search for the DList and in a HexEditor replace the FC Command with this: FC 12 7E A0 FF FF F3 F8.

Coloring is simple and easy, but porting is a bit difficult to not experimented users...
