Hey there! I was wondering about how I would be able to replace each segment of Hyrule Field's Theme, so that it still dynamically changes with the actions you perform. If it is possible at all, will I be able to do it with tools, or is it a hex job? I'm not hugely knowledgeable about OoT editing, so if it is something that has to be done through hex editing it may be out of my ability for now, but I'd love to hear the answer anyway so I can give it some thought! Thanks! |

I thought Hyrule Field theme used sequences 0x02 through 0x0F? (or so) I don't know which movement goes with each sequence but it seems like the themes are assigned through the sequences. like one sequence covers the walking theme another theme covers when you approach an enemy another when you are standing....etc etc It seems like it's one huge track that was divided and assigned each a sequence... just don't know which movement goes with which sequence. Thanks for all the replies! I'll have to take a look into using Hylian Toolbox and InstEd. As for the sequences that the theme uses, Sylux102s notes within the tool collection state that Hyrule Field uses 0x02 to 0x17, 0x31 and 0x3B. I have actually used InstEd in the past to replace Hyrule Field's theme, although it just treated it like a normal song and was no longer dynamic. This was the intended effect at the time so I didn't look into "resolving" it. There may be something i missed or maybe something I need to modify in order for it to work, it has been a while. Lastly, the only other info I have is from an interview with Koji Kondo that states that each sequence of the song is 8 bars long. EDIT: So far I've tried using InstEd to replace some of the Hyrule Field sequences: Spoiler: click to toggle
