Basic understanding as in from what the person who was the first to do it all properly collision spawning and models. Taven. He has told me how to do it properly but he said the tools that are needed are as follows: WindViewer (Player Spawning) anyway to convert a bmd to 3ds or obj and convert back. Mario DS collision importer. (For the collision which just so happens to work with Twilight Princess) I am busy right now so I do not have the time to test and work on this but this should 100% work if anyone wants to post progress here go for it. If you see Taven anywhere be sure to thank him! Let the TP mods begin. Things that can be imported as of now: Levels Collision Items Player Models (Taven hasnt said how this is done because the models need to be rigged as well depending on what your doing hair, outfits for links model should work 100%. Also since Taven can't post this due to him keeping a promise to the Twilight Princess HD Project that he would not release this I decided to do it for him. Enjoy.

It would be nice to see some TP mods, but I just don't see it taking off. It fell in the gap between console generations and just didn't get enough popularity for people to be interested in it. There was a lot of wasted potential; and unlike the N64, emulating TP at full speed requires having a fairly good computer. I personally believe that part of the reason for the dying of the modding community is that the barrier for Zelda modding is just too high. Tools have made a lot of stuff easier, but still, doing anything serious requires being really comfortable with using a hex editor, debugger, and assembly programming. As such, I'm more interested in creating a Zelda-based game engine designed specifically to be modded. |

There's a few mods out. Like a FD sword mod, with Gilded sword and Heros shield. Also the sword in the head of the arbiters grounds boss |
